This summer has been eerily quiet for video games, but the upcoming selection of Games with Gold for Xbox Live Gold members is one of the best we’ve ever seen. Seriously, if you pay for an Xbox Live subscription, you need to make sure that you log in and grab these games as soon as they become available next month.

Forza Horizon 2 is the biggest name on the list, and also happened to be my favorite game of 2014. Even since Forza Horizon 3 has come out, I still go back to the second game on occasion just to explore the European countryside and listen to the unbeatable radio stations. And once you’re done racing in Forza, you can go back in time and do battle with knights, vikings, and samurai in For Honor, one of the better melee combat games of the generation.

You’ll save over $119 if you pick up all four games and can add up to 4000 points to your gamerscore. Also, keep in mind that each of the Xbox 360 titles are backward compatible with the Xbox One, so even if you don’t have an Xbox 360 on hand, you can still download all four games listed above. The Xbox 360 allows users to download a large number of games and demos for free. Xbox Live has two types of accounts. Silver accounts are completely free and allow games and demos to be downloaded. Several full games, such as Aegis Wing and Dash of Destruction, are completely free. Demos are always free and available for almost every Xbox 360 game. Xbox Live Arcade games can be downloaded for free if the game itself is purchased by the user.

Turn on the Xbox 360 and go to the Dashboard. The console will start on the Dashboard if no game is inserted in the console.
Choose the “Join Xbox Live” option in the menu.
Complete the instructions to create a Silver account.

Go to the Xbox Live Marketplace.
Go to the Games tab.
Browse through the games alphabetically or by category.
Select a game to download. Free games will have “Free” listed next to the title in place of an Xbox Live points cost.
Select the game title to open the download menu. Select “Download Now” to start downloading the game.
Tips
Your account will be a Gold account for the first month after creation. This allows you to play games online. If you do not enter payment information, it will revert to a Silver account after the month is over.
