Hello cat139lyleb. Intel hasn't developed drivers for Windows 10 for this graphics adapter. One thing that you could do is look for drivers on third party websites; however, Intel does not support or encourage this practice since we are not aware of the harm that could or could not provoke in your system. The Graphics Switcher tab shows which graphics processing card is currently being used, the one in the host device or the one in the OMEN Accelerator. You can switch to the other graphics card by clicking the icon in the app.

Clicking on the Download Now (Visit Site) button above will open a connection to a third-party site. Download.com cannot completely ensure the security of the software hosted on third-party sites.

I suggest you to update the graphics card drivers/display drivers from manufacturer website and check if it resolves the issue.

  1. Open Device Manager.

  2. Expand ‘Display Adapter’.

  3. Locate the display driver.

  4. Right-click on the display card listed and click on ‘Update Driver Software’

Tried this. Good instructions, but my drivers up to date. Have same problems as AnshSinghal re: game loading, and in that Microsoft's instructions re: hardware/graphics acceleration point to a troubleshooting tab. Actually, the instructions as to what tab or whatever to select are all a little inaccurate for Windows 10. In any case, Advanced Settings under 'change display settings: has no troubleshooting tab. Don't know what to try next.

Found elsewhere that if 'troubleshooting' doesn't show, then card doesn't support hardware acceleration. Still don't know what to do next.

I have the same issue. I have a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 980M graphics card installed on this computer and when I updated to windows 10 today all sorts of weird stuff started happening to my programs.

I researched the with the software (AutoCAD/Autodesk) and they think the issue is that I need to turn off the hardware acceleration. The software for the graphics card is up to date. I too am looking for the troubleshooting tab that used to be part of Windows 7.

How do I turn off hardware acceleration?

I did update the driver but the game fifa 2008 is still asking for the same thing hardware graphics acceleration what can I do in this case

Hi,

Please follow these steps to install the drivers in compatibility mode and check if that helps.

  1. Download the driver from the manufacturer’s website.

  2. Right-click on the driver setup file and click on ‘properties’.

  3. Click on the ‘compatibility’ tab and check the box ‘Run this program in compatibility mode for’ and select operating system from the drop down menu and proceed with the installation. Once this is done, restart the computer and check if the issue persists.

I'm so tired of hearing the constant 'try this' or 'maybe this will help'. Because following those statements Window 10 support team sends us to another website.

Thank you for the update on the issue.

Please refer to these steps to check if the graphics card supports hardware acceleration or not and to enable or disable it:

  1. On the desktop, press Windows key + X and select Control Panel.
  2. In Large Icons View, click on Display and click on Change Display Settings, in the left pane.
  3. Click on Advanced Settings.
    In the Advanced Settings window, if Troubleshooting tab is present, then the graphics card supports hardware acceleration.
  4. Click on the Troubleshooting tab and move the Hardware Acceleration slider to Full.
  5. Click on OK and restart the computer to save the settings.

None of this advice works.

Camtasia stopped working after the latest MS update.

Please advise with a solution that works. I have a Samsung ATIV 9 if that matters

Agreed! It's outrageous that we pay thousands of dollars for a product that doesn't work, and then the expectation is that we will invest countless hours to troubleshoot, clean install, etc etc etc.

I agree, so many people give 'advice' on how to fix things, but fail to advise people of their system and os and settings before they post. They just figure that if th eir computer does it, everyone's does. I have to laugh at some of these answers because people have to search what they're talking about as they go, and still can't find the answers. And by the way, There is no troubleshoot at that point in windows 10, large icons is greyed out, and there is no slider. The problem is in Direct X.
