They broke a good usb adapter

I have a Tplink TL-WN822N it is ver 3.0 and it works fine. So I needed another adapter for a separate computer and bought another one.

Tp link wn822n drivers

However upon receiving this item I noticed it has changed to ver 4, not only that, the chipset has also changed. This new revision has given me nothing but headaches, I have tried five different drivers, changed the wireless channels etc. All this adapter does is randomly disconnect from the internet and often gives my computer a Blue Screen of Death.

I tried my ver 3 adapter, and no problems at all.

TP Link, as the old saying goes, if it ain't broke, don't fix it. You tried to fix a great product but somehow managed to make it worse.

Terrible. I do not recommend this adapter anymore. Look elsewhere such as D-link etc

NOT FOR WINDOWS 10!

Wn822n

I bought this new adapter and it has been running fine for a month on our Business PC on Windows 7. I updated to Windows 10 and can no longer access the Internet. The adapter shows as 'enabled' and can see the Modem/Router, (with 'Limited' access), but diagnostics state probable driver issue. No W10 driver and TP-Link support confirms this is unit not supported for W10. Be warned.

Quick Service

I bought this item and I hoped to use it with a DVD Recorder. I found out after I ordered it that it was not suitable for my application. I gave it to my Son-In-Law and he said it has given him good reception as his PC is a distance from the main Router.

This is a slightly more technical review for you folks, and if you're just using this to connect to WiFi, you can safely ignore it.
After purchasing this, I found it does not properly work with some Linux setups that were usually guaranteed to work (Kali). After some reaserch, I found that the adapter has two versions - one with an Atheros Chipset, and one with a RealTek Chipset. So far, the only reliable way to tell that I've ascertained is to look at the bottom of the device itself for the FCC number, which is a small sequence of numbers directly above the barcode on the back. If yours reads 'TE7WN722NV2', you have the RealTek version 2, which is unusable for some projects. Otherwise, you likely have the superior Atheros version. Another way to tell is, sometimes, next to the S/N on the back, it'll say 'v2.1' or something similar. So far I haven't worked out if the FCC number or version is on the box, as I threw that away before realizing this.
I'm rating this product two stars for not making it clear that this was something that I needed to worry about. There should be, at least in the description, something saying that this is Version 2 using the RealTek Chipset instead of Atheros. I don't know if they sell the Version 1 at all, but some people I've asked said they received that version, meaning the seller may be just randomly picking between versions 1 and 2 to ship out.
